This unit treats patients with Gastrointestinal and liver diseases. There is an eight bedded Intensive Care Unit to manage patients, critically ill with hepatic or Gastrointestinal disease. A fully equipped endoscopy unit is geared up for diagnostic and therapeutic (and diagnostic) endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP including sphincterotomy, stone extraction, mechanical Lithotripsy, biliary and pancreatic stenting). Out patient days are on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Emergencies are death with round the clock, seven days a week. |
